Hope, it can be nouns or verbs, depends on how you structure your sentences. Well, in this context, I would like it to rather be verbs than a nouns. Why ? Because, if it is a nouns, the "hope" will always be a static "hope" only, which it will stay as hope, and the hope may never come true.  If it is a verb, it looks likes at least, there are something going on , for the hope to be come true.

"I hope something to happen." sounds much more better than "My hope is something to happen", where the first sentence sounds like at least I do something for the something to happen.

 Well, life had been much more busy since L,G and K left D. I hope that after I join A, things will get much better .
