16th March 2007, a day to fry, somehow called Friday

This is all about a special kind of nut, where somehow we are always dealing with it, using it, drinking it,eating it …..most in our daily lifestyle here, tropical countries.

However, this kind of nut need to be processed first before we can use it, eat it or drink it usually. We usually do not open it with bared hand.It is not easy to be open up as a peanut.However, we do usually open it with a long, heavy, knife (such as a machete).The nut is much more bigger compared with a peanut.

Green in color, the nuts can be picked from its tree, opened with a knife, and you may then have a taste of the a water in the nut. It is refreshing and a famous drink in tropical countries. When the nut has ripened and the outer husk has turned brown, a few months later, it will fall from the tree of its own accord.

The white, fleshy part of the seed of the nut is edible and used fresh or dried in cooking. It can be used to cooked with famous Malay foods usually such as nasi lemak, kari, and with most of the Malay's kuih-muih……

Does not produce any cocoa, the nut is named nut with a coco, code named Cocos nucifera . Do you know what nut is it ?
