Vacation with family – A short visit to Cameron Highlands
28th July 2009 , Tuesday
Wow, it has been some time I have not updated my blog. Yes, life is hectic, what I was busy on ? I had no ideas. Perhaps, just like the rat running on the wheel , in the “laboratory”…

Yeah, stop all the sighs …
Well, it was July , I had a short vacation with my family at Cameron Highlands . It was suggestion of my brother (JT) . It has been a long time since we had not hang out together.
Taking the Simpang Pulai-Kampung Raja Highway , we checked in the motel at Brinchang, Cameron Highlands after few hours of drivings. It was the afternoon of Satudary, around 2 pm. As I remembered , we were starving . We then went to hunt for our lunch .
Tadaa !!! Check out what we had… I would say “harvest” indeed . Check out what we had “harvested ”

After lunch, we went to a muzium nearby Brinchang. I did not remember what it was called, it is some sort likes memory lane. Check out some of our sentimental and memorizable photos around the corners

After checking around those “antiques”, we went to the cactus farm and bee farm. After that, we went back to the motel for a bath. Then, we went for our dinner. Phew…after several rounds of rounds ,we finally found a place to park our car. The restaurants were crowded with customers. We had steamboat . Hmmm…. it is just ordinary, not much specials …. likes strawberries flavor ?! Well, the taste of the tomyam flavor tomyam is not so spicy here. Anyway, it just feels so good to have something hot and warm in the cool climate of Cameron Highland.
After having the meals, we had a short walk to the Brinchang Night Market (Pasar Malam) nearby. We have bought some corns (jagung) , which can be eaten raw , some potatoes and some strawberries. That goes our first day of the vacation.
It was Sunday, 19th July . After having a good sleep on the living room, I helped mom to prepare the breakfast. I was falling in love with the strawberries flavor coffee that sister bought. It tastes so nice.

Our first stop was going to the Sam Poh Temple. My sister was posing again

Our next stop is the BOH Tea Centre at Sungei Palas . Erm…the road is steep, winding and can only accommodate one car at any time so driving up there was really, really tricky. All the way up we honked to warn cars coming from the opposite direction. Thanks to my brother fabulous driving skills , we reached there , safely.

There is a small steep path to walk to the top , before reaching the BOH Tea Centre . It takes around 15 to 20 minutes. Here are some beautiful green scenery along the way of going up there.

It was crowded. Finally, we found a place to sit down and enjoyed the Boh tea and some cakes.
We then sight seeing around the Boh tea shop. It was nice that we also got to know how the tea is being processed. There goes the morning of our second day . After going along the winding and steep road again, we went back to have our lunch at Tanah Rata.
Visits to Rose Garden , Cactus Point , Green View Garden and some strawberries farm completed the schedule of the whole afternoon and the journey.More photos can be found here .
It was Monday morning, 20th July . We were on our way back to Penang …
It was a great vacation we have ever taken. Aih…need to get back to work already
