Since  Sunday night, I have been coughing hardly, again.

I have sucked dozens of the Strepsils cough lozenges but the cough was just not stopping at all. I have tried the cough medicine , Xepa’s Sedilix®-DM Linctus which usually healed my cough situation previously, but it did not help.

Yesterday, Monday, after worked, I rushed to seek help from doctor and prepared for MC (medical certificate). I took the medicine and it did not relief my cough at all. Anyway, I slept soundly after taking the medicine as the medicine for healing cough usually cause dizziness.

Today morning, I thought I should be fine. Wow, the first thing I did when I woke up is cough. I hence applied for MC. Hmm, what to to….I then went to the pharmacy nearby. The pharmacist suggested me 1 of the medicine. The “ingredients” are as below:

Bromhexine HCl               ……….. 4.0 mg

Dextromethorphan HBr ……….. 15.0 mg

Preservatives:

Methyl Paraben  ………..0.09 % w/v

Propyl Paraben   ………..0.03% w/v

Ethanol                 ………..5.32 v/v

Indication:

For relief cough associated with  reduction of sputum viscosity

I took the medicine. Yes, it did cause dizziness and sleepiness as Xepa’s Sedilix®-DM Linctus , but , it has stopped my cough.  Wow, this cough syrup works !

Xepa’s Sedilix®-DM Linctus  ‘s “ingredients” are as below:

Dextromethorphan HBr ……….. 15.0 mg

Promethazine HCl ……….. 3.125 mg

Pseudoephedrine  HCl ……….. 30 mg

Parabens 0.125 % w/v as preservative.

I compared both cough syrups and it looks like ‘Bromhexine HCl ‘ has cured my cough. Well, I don’t know what it is; as googling around, so far as I know, its full name is ‘Bromhexine Hydrochloride’ and its chemical formula is C₁₄H₂₁Br₂ClN_{2  .}It usually used for treating chronic bronchitis.

I am kind of person who feel “guilty” if get rest too much. I had then took this “free time ” to cancel my Streamyx and TMNET 1515 accounts. Besides, I had also fixed the telephone jack and installed 1 pendaflour light in the house.
